We draw on the resources of leading world institutions to train our staff, keep, and update a strong base of knowledge on every aspect of senior care and its related activities. The idea of providing dedicated caregivers in a resort-like setting to seniors and elderly citizens was born within a community of expats from all over the world, in the Caribbean island of Dominican Republic.
Local Dominican families seek the elderly wisdom, and hold them high in the family ranks, often being the head of families. It is a family tradition to keep the elderly home until their last day on Earth, very close to the grand children.
Foreign seniors often move to the island and live on their own chasing the Caribbean dream, but lack local support and once they reach a certain age or condition, they have to go back to their countries. Those who stay to live on their own despite being fragile, are often paying the price, sometimes at a very high cost ( no life alert, no wellness checks) resulting in dire consequences.
In a society that portrays old age as the sunset phase of humanity, we bring a new dawn; one where the purpose of life has a new meaning, a life-enriching experience everyone wishes they`d have. Love, compassion, and understanding. As Robert Bryne once wrote, “The purpose of life is a life of purpose”.
