A Healthy & Blissful Lifestyle

CARIBBEAN
ASSISTED LIVING

Assisted Living started as a housing alternative for elderly and disabled people (non independent seniors) that now offers a wide range of choices, with various levels of care.

It is a service that offers assistance with activities of daily living ( ADL ) such as nursing, meals, personal care, health care, social activities, transportation, wellness and entertainment.

Caribbean assisted living offers a new perspective that brings resort style living to seniors in beach communities with 24hrs security, golden sad beaches, activities, nurses, and access to professional medical services.

Types of Assisted Living

There are various types of assisted living options, such as Assisted Living Facility, Independent living, Skilled Nursing Facilities ( Nursing Homes ), Senior Apartments, Continuing Care Retirement Communities ( CCRC ), Independent Communities and Residential Assisted Living.

Caribbean Assisted Living

The type of setting found in the Assisted Villas is considered Residential Caribbean Assisted Living, with low density of no more than 1-10 people ( usually 5-6 ) per villa, in some cases up to 20 for shared, ultra luxury mansions. Those who want to have a totally private villa where only their families can visit, will incur in higher costs than those that share a villa with other seniors. Care levels are defined as care level I & II.

There are many advantages to being in the Assisted Villas instead of the nursing home or standard residential ALF. Much like in a resort vacation setting, seniors have more freedom in choosing their meal, activities and bath time, due to the lower resident density and higher caregiver to resident ratio.

Our Care & Services page provides details on the levels of care, as well as important information on the provided caregivers and staff for each assisted villa. It is recommended to start any program as a 2-4 weeks respite care vacation before deciding on the long term options. This ensures that the senior(s) gets to test the service before committing for longer term assisted living.
